Meet Steven

As the branding industry continues to evolve alongside changing client and consumer expectations, we’re expanding our thinking to provide a more integrated approach to delivering creative solutions. This leads us to exciting news—we’re welcoming Steven Picanza to our team! We’re elated for him to add more firepower to our branding efforts whilst skyrocketing the Movetic brand to the next level. With over a decade of collaboration behind us, we’re grateful to incorporate his firepower into Movetic. 

Over the past 15+ years of working in branding and advertising, Steven has collaborated with notable clients including Holland America Line, Dude Wipes, MGM International, Dr Teals, The Art of Shaving, IDG Media, and GSK, to name a few. 

Additionally, he hosts the ‘Talking wth Branders’ podcast for Branders Magazine and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Branding at Drexel University. As a co-founder of NJ Content Studio, he plays a pivotal role in operating a podcast and YouTube studio catering to South New Jersey and Philadelphia. 

We asked him a few questions so you can get to know him a bit better.

Q: What excites you most about joining the team?

In addition to the caliber of creative talent and raw hustle to craft incredible brand experiences, the agency’s vision is aligned with mine, which makes it equally exciting. In the ever-evolving branding and creative landscape, the agencies that can course-correct and evolve while maintaining a strong stance on delivering bold ideas are going to win. And I’m here to win. 

Q: What excites you about the future of “brand”?

Customer expectations are changing daily. Brands need to be proactive with their strategy to stay relevant. This gets my juices flowing. I often contemplate, ‘How do we continue to push the concept of a brand beyond the organization to the customers they serve?’ The saying goes, “A brand isn’t what you say it is, it’s what they say it is.” 

Q: What do you do for fun?

Hang with my family—my wife, toddler, and rescue pup. Make pizza, drink wine, live la dolce vita. Get lost through hiking, exploring, and traveling. I’m also obsessed with music, having played in bands since I was a teenager. 

Q: What does Stay Moving mean to you?

Energy. It’s the only constant in the universe.

For brands, ‘Stay Moving’ means to constantly evolve to meet the needs of the customer. Brands that stay stagnant get passed. Passive brands are a step behind. Brands that are slow to move become antiquated. 

Active brands that consistently create more value for their customers will continue to stay relevant and in demand because, at the end of the day, that is what matters. Creating demand for a brand that customers can’t ignore.
